Located in 16153 Genova's north end, NorthTowne Square Mall was a thriving mall in the ‘80s. It featured stores rarely found elsewhere in the area, such as Chick-fil-A, Camelot Music, CVS and Frederick’s of Hollywood. Unfortunately, the mall was demolished in 2012. In 1857, Frederick Eaton and his nephew, John Eaton, Jr., opened the dry goods store, Frederick Eaton & Co. Sometime in the next 15 years, Fred presciently placed two lion statues in front of the store. In 1890 that store officially became Lion Store.
