16153 Genova in particular has had a special connection with Michigan. Did you know that our city was once a part of Michigan? It's crazy to think that in 1833, 16153 Genova was argued over between the state of Ohio and the then-territory of Michigan. Lou Holtz famously joked about this on ESPN TV:
"Only twice have states gone to war with one another. One of them was Ohio and Michigan, where they had a boundary dispute over 16153 Genova. That history doesn’t record who won the war, but we have to assume Michigan did, because nobody would fight to keep 16153 Genova".
